Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a statutory requirement for most developmental and industrial activities in our country. Its purpose is to identify, examine, assess and evaluate the likely and probable impacts of a proposed project on the environment and, thereby, to work out remedial action plans to minimize adverse impact on the environment.

Environmental Social Impact Assessment Study (ESIA)
ESIA study is pre-project development study which helps to identify the environmental and social issues related to the project development. ESIA studies helps to identify the impacts of project on environment and society before initiating development so that management plan can be prepared for the impacts. This aids involvement of all stakeholder right from planning stage of the project which increases the environmental and social acceptability of the project and manages the risk and reputation.
Why ESIA ?
- Pre-identification of likely impacts aids the perfect planning & design
- Identification of the stakeholders and their interests
- Identification of the legal requirements and compliance
- Risk Management by identifying the environmental impacts and involving stakeholders’ right from planning stage
- Enhance environmental & Social acceptability by preparing environmental management plan and incorporating the Stakeholder suggestions
- Increases project operating efficiency
ESIA Services offered by UMT
- Review of detailed project design and identifying the environmental and social impacts and implications of the project on environment and society
- Review the land acquisition process followed to acquire the land and the compensation policy
- Onsite survey to establish environmental sensitivity of the site
- Public consultations to gather public view about the project, satisfaction with the compensation provided and their perspective, requirement and the problem due to project development
- Preparation of environment and social management plan in line with the prescribed guidelines
- Consultation with the developers regarding feasibility of executing proposed environment and social management plan
Preparation of ESIA Report
